For those who want to test the waters and try scuba this is the course for you! The Awesome Adventures Scuba Experience gives you a glimpse of what you can expect to experience in the underwater world as well as what you could expect to learn in the Open Water Scuba Diver course. During this experience program, you will go through the basic safety procedures for enjoyable scuba diving under the watchful eye of an active Instructor. You will learn skills such as equalizing your ears, basic buoyancy control, underwater communication, and more.
What will you learn?
You learn the basic safety guidelines and skills needed to dive under the direct supervision of a dive professional get ready to:
- Go over the scuba equipment you use to dive and how easy it is to move around under the water.
- Find out what it is like to breathe underwater.
- Learn key skills that you will use during your scuba experience.
- Have fun swimming around, exploring, and blowing bubbles.
How can you start learning?
Check out our calendar for dates and times of pre-booked scuba experiences, which happen along side most Open Water Scuba Diver classes. If you have a bigger group (16 - 22) email the store with your name, an estimated group size, and a few days that work best for you and we will put a private scuba experience together for you. ( Larger Group SE's are on hold for right now due to Covid 19)
What scuba gear will you use?
We provide all gear required for the scuba experience. That includes a mask, fins, snorkel, regulator, B.C. dive gauges and a tank. You just need to bring your swimsuit, towel, and we recommend you wear a rash-guard or a wetsuit if you have one, since the water at the University of Lethbridge Max Bell Aquatics Center is a bit cool.
